In these workshops you will learn to use an axe safely and efficiently aswell as learn the basic knife grips for both sloyd knives and spoon knives. You should leave the day with all of your fingers ( hopefully! ) and a lovely hand carved spoon to remember the experience by (:
This is a 1-1 workshop and a great opportunity to learn from a fulltime spooncarver to establish a baseline of solid skills to set you up for your spooncarving future.
The workshop will be held in my workspace and will include a walk into our woodland to select a piece of timber, sawing and splitting logs efficiently, carving with an axe, sloydknife and a spoonknife aswell as everything you need to know about finishing your spoons.
Lunch will be included during the day aswell as tea and biscuits!
