Damson sapwood

This eating spoon is hand-carved from English damson wood — a dense, fine-grained fruitwood with a smooth finish and subtle colour variation. The wood has been shaped entirely by hand using axe and knife, with no sanding or machines involved.

The bowl is shallow with clean, crisp lines, and the handle is balanced to sit comfortably in the hand. Finished with food-safe  tung oil to bring out the natural tone of the wood and to protect it in daily use.

Each spoon is unique, shaped from a different section of the tree, and may carry small knots or character from its previous life.

Simple, functional, and made to be used.
