Cherry With A Little Sapwood

This one came out really nicely—probably some of my cleanest work yet. Made from a lovely bit of cherry, split radially for strength, a nice two-tone contrast, and makes things a bit easier on the hands when carving too.

The shape’s simple but purposeful. A deep, wide bowl that’s great for serving everything from roast veg to a big spoonful of something sweet. The handle’s got a slight taper and a gentle curve, so it feels good in the hand and handles well at the table.

Finished with Tung oil and ready for daily use. It’s the kind of spoon that’ll just quietly get on with the job—and look good doing it.
